About Me
My name is Bridget and I'm a writer and creative practitioner based in the North East of England. I'm originally from a small industrial town just outside of London, but recently celebrated my 12th year of living in Newcastle upon Tyne, and my accent's coming along nicely!

I have a BA Hons in English Literature from Newcastle University and an MA in Radio Production and Management (now called Radio, Audio and Podcasting) from the University of Sunderland. After working for about five years in the creative and cultural sector as an employee, I am now fully freelance and divide my time between long-term contracts with organisations like New Writing North, one-off commissions / project delivery and creating my own work. I work most often with young people, but in the last year or so I've been delivering projects to adults in the criminal justice system, too.

Some of my favourite people I've worked with recently include...
Grainger Market, Curious Arts, Mslexia, Gateshead Youth Council, Changing Relations, Kielder Observatory, HMP Northumberland, HMP Durham, Durham Culture County, BBC Radio Three, Changing Lives, Poet in the City, Hexham Book Festival and many more.

In December 2023, I signed with literary agent Lucy Irvine at Peters Fraser + Dunlop and you can view my author profile on their website here.
